Lake City, Florida (September 15, 2022) – Legend says coffee was first discovered in Ethiopia in the 1600s when a local goat herder noticed that his goats became very energetic after eating berries from a certain plant – a plant now thought to be a species of coffee plant. With a history spanning thousands of years, coffee has risen to be the beloved beverage of choice for many Americans. It’s the fuel for our days, a reward for a job well done, a quiet confidant in the early morning hours, a listening ear in a conversation amongst friends, and so much more. With such an illustrious reputation, coffee deserves its own special day for celebration.

On September 29th, coffee enthusiasts around the nation will celebrate their morning cup of coffee on National Coffee Day. To commemorate the day, Ellianos Coffee, a drive-thru coffee chain that has risen to prominence throughout the southeast, is offering a free medium-sized hot or iced coffee to all customers!

Customers should make plans to visit their nearest Ellianos Coffee location on September 29th to celebrate the day. To view a list of operating store locations, visit ellianos.com/locations, and be sure to tag Ellianos in all your #NationalCoffeeDay posts!
